Mobile Dairy Classroom
King School was paid a special visit by the Mobile Dairy Classroom on Thursday, December 9, 2010. This experience was made possible by the generosity of the Dairy Council of California, which provides this service free for students in grader K-6.
This outdoor assembly allowed students to come face to face with the wonderful dairy cow, Milky Way. Students learned about the anatomy of a cow, what a dairy cow eats & drinks and how milk gets from the cow to the milk containers in their homes.
This assembly helped students gain awareness about agriculture’s contribution to our food supply and provided students with knowledge of healthy food and activity choices. For more information about the assembly click on the following link: http://www.dairycouncilofca.org/Educators/MobileDairy/
